Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our pasture-raised heritage meats.
What exactly is 'Heritage Breed' meat?
Heritage breeds are traditional livestock breeds that were raised by our ancestors before industrial farming. They are slower-growing, resulting in superior marbling, deeper flavor, and a more nutrient-dense product compared to commercial supermarket meats.
How is my order packaged for shipping?
All cuts are vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen at the peak of freshness. We ship your order in insulated coolers packed with dry ice or gel packs to ensure your meat arrives frozen or deeply chilled, even in warm weather.
When will my order be delivered?
To maintain product integrity, we typically ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. Depending on your location, your order will arrive within 1-3 business days via expedited shipping. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your box leaves our facility.
Do you use antibiotics or hormones?
No. Our animals are raised naturally on open pastures without the use of growth hormones or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. We believe that a stress-free environment and a natural diet are the keys to healthy, delicious meat.
What is your return policy for perishable goods?
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or defrosted, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos, and we will offer a replacement or a full refund.
How should I defrost my heritage meat?
For the best flavor and texture, we recommend slow-thawing your meat in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours. For faster thawing, you can place the vacuum-sealed package in a bowl of cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes.
